This article will guide you through the configuration of a D-Link Router or Modem/Router for your Superloop Internet Connection
- D-Link Routers will generally have the model number starting with the letters 'DIR', whilst modem/routers will begin with the letter 'DSL' (i.e. DIR-850L, DSL-3900)
- FttP/HFC/FttC connections will have an NBN Connection Box, so do not require a modem/router. Modem/routers are still compatible, but will require extra configuration steps
- This guide is a generic guide for D-Link devices, some settings may vary, depending on model
D-Link Routers for FttP/HFC/FttC
- Ensure the router is turned on and plugged in
- Get a device you can connect to the router with, either by Wi-Fi or ethernet
- Open a web browser on that device and enter 192.168.0.1
- The page will now open with a Setup Wizard, click Next to begin
- Select Dynamic IP(DHCP) from the list of internet connection types, click Next
- You may now change your Wi-Fi network names and passwords, if you wan, click Next
- Type in a new Admin password (used to log in to your router), click Next
- Click Finish on the summary page
- Your router should now be setup
D-Link Modem/Routers for FttP/HFC/FttC
- Ensure the modem/router is turned on and plugged in
- Get a device you can connect to the modem/router with, either by Wi-Fi or ethernet
- Open a web browser on that device and enter 192.168.1.1
- The page will now open with a Setup Wizard, click Next to begin
- Select Ethernet or Residential Gateway for the WAN Access Type, Not Listed for the ISP, click Next
- Select Dynamic IP from the list of internet connection types, click Next
- You may now change your Wi-Fi network names and passwords, if you want, click Next
- Type in a new Admin password (used to log in to your modem/router), click Next
- Click Finish on the summary page
- Your modem/router should now be setup
D-Link Modem/Routers for FttN/FttB
- Ensure the modem/router is turned on and plugged in
- Get a device you can connect to the modem/router with, either by Wi-Fi or ethernet
- Open a web browser on that device and enter 192.168.1.1
- The page will now open with a Setup Wizard, click Next to begin
- Select VDSL or xDSL for the WAN Access Type, Not Listed for the ISP, click Next
- Select Dynamic IP from the list of internet connection types, click Next
- You may now change your Wi-Fi network names and passwords, if you wan, click Next
- Type in a new Admin password (used to log in to your modem/router), click Next
- Click Finish on the summary page
- Your modem/router should now be setup
