Offline after resolved disruption
This article will go over the steps you should take after a disruption, if you are still not connected
- Have you rebooted your router or modem/router
- Is your NBN Connection Box online
- Do you need some technical assistance
Had an outage and still offline?
Rebooting your equipment
Often after a disruption has been resolved, a simple reboot of your router or modem/router should be all that is required. When rebooting, it is best practice to keep it powered off for at least 30 seconds.
If you have a FttN or FttB service, your modem/router will need to gain sync first before it connects back to the internet (your modem/router should have a DSL sync light)
NBN Connection Box
An outage can often cause your NBN Connection Box to offline also, if you have rebooted your router already and are still getting no internet connection, it is worth rebooting your NBN Connection Box. When doing so, it is a recommendation to keep this device powered down for at least 1 minute.
